We're kicking off the season with Scholars Speak II, reimagining the landmark 2008 MAS salon, which also kicked off our now 18-year partnership with The Phillips Collection. We're bringing in a new slate of scholars including Dr. Tuliza Fleming, Curator of American Art at the National Museum of African American History and Culture, Dr. Kanitra Fletcher, Associate Curator of African American and Afro-Diasporic Art at the National Gallery of Art, Dr. Jordana Moore-Sagesse, Professor of American Art at the David C Driskell Center at the University of Maryland College Park, Dr. Dalila Scruggs, Augusta Savage Curator of African American Art at the Smithsonian American Art Museum, and Dr. Melanee Harvey, Associate Professor and Coordinator of Art History at Howard University to take a fresh look at this provocative topic, Looking Back, Looking Forward, moderated by Dr. Adrienne Childs, Senior Consulting Curator at the Phillips Collection. We are delighted to once again partner with The Phillips Collection.
