A Salon & Book Signing with A’Lelia Bundles
Followed by A Reception

Millennium Arts Salon invites members to join us for an exclusive [afternoon/evening] with A'Lelia Bundles, award-winning journalist and great-granddaughter of Madam C.J. Walker, in celebration of her newest book, Joy Goddess: A'Lelia Walker and the Harlem Renaissance.

On Friday, June 27th at [TIME] at [LOCATION], join us for an intimate salon conversation with one of our most celebrated storytellers — an [afternoon/evening] that promises to be as rich and luminous as the life she writes about.

Joy Goddess is a vibrant, deeply researched biography of A'Lelia Walker — daughter of Madam C.J. Walker and a central figure of the Harlem Renaissance. During the 1920s, A'Lelia Walker was an internationally famous heiress, as comfortable at the opera in Paris as she was at the annual Howard-Lincoln football classic. Her glamorous soirées were so memorable that poet Langston Hughes dubbed her "the joy goddess of Harlem's 1920s." Long overshadowed by her mother's legendary legacy, A'Lelia Walker's radiant personality, impresario instincts, and international travels are brought to life through her voluminous personal correspondence and a trove of archival research.

The evening will include a salon discussion, book signing, and reception — offering a wonderful opportunity to engage with A'Lelia Bundles directly, connect with fellow members, and celebrate the power of storytelling to illuminate our shared culture and history.

This is a Members Only event. Not yet a member? Join Millennium Arts Salon today to attend this event and become part of a vibrant community dedicated to art, culture, and meaningful conversation.

We look forward to welcoming you for what promises to be an unforgettable [afternoon/evening].
